Aquitaine, land of wines

Legendary vineyards, ocean, and art de vivre

Aquitaine, a region of terroirs

An iconic wine region, Aquitaine oVers an exceptional setting and a mosaic of landscapes: between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, the Dordogne valley, the foothills of the Pyrenees, the gentle Gers and the wide open spaces of the Landes. It is home to some of the
most prestigious vineyards in the world: Saint-Émilion, Médoc, Pomerol, Sauternes, but also Armagnac, Irouléguy, Jurançon, Bergerac... Beyond the big names, there are also boutique wines, driven by passion, tradition, and the art of hospitality. Aquitaine seduces, captivates, and
reveals a way of life that combines heritage, culture, and endless horizons.

Discover its iconic wine cellars

Between tradition and innovation

Immerse yourself in the world of prestigious wine cellars: from monumental buildings from another era to contemporary cellars, which are more precise, often environmentally friendly,
where technology is elegant and the eye is delighted. In Bordeaux, the cellar tells as much about the history of wine as it does about trade with England. Since the Middle Ages, trade has required wines to be stored and preserved: on the
quays as well as on the estates, these places have expanded, become more organized, adapted to barrel aging, and become the heart of the estate. From classicism to neo-Gothic, then to
modern spaces (controlled temperatures, concrete then stainless steel vats), Bordeaux wine cellars today combine tradition and innovation.

Between design and the magic of wine

Architecture

A wine-growing experience is not limited to wine: it is also experienced through the places, the farm buildings, and sometimes the owners' homes. At the heart of each estate, the wine cellar is the central element. Bottles are stored there... but above all, it is the final stage of winemaking, where the magic happens. To enhance these spaces, renowned architects design cellars that are as technical as they are spectacular, where design dialogues with expertise. Ricard Bofill, Jean Nouvel, Chien Chung (Didi) Pei... designers from around the world work alongside winemakers to create ultra-sophisticated spaces.
HALAÏA invites you to enjoy an experience that is both oenological and architectural, opening the doors to unique, often private locations.
